Thomas Porter Architects teamed up with NPI to assist in developing this special project for Neighborhood Properties Inc. The Wellness and Recovery Center is a twenty-four hour peer-staff ed respite care facility. Their goal is to support individuals under emotional distress while addressing their basic needs in a friendly and relaxed environment with a compassionate and understanding approach.

This new facility features four bedrooms and an open concept floorplan with kitchen and shared living spaces both indoors and outdoors. The unique design features exposed roof trusses. The large windows and fi replace brings the outdoors in, defi nes the space, and provide for a comfortable retreat-like atmosphere.
