Kazmaier Stadium Renewal
Maumee City Schools
As a venue for local and regional events, the stadium welcomes more than 10,000 people attending upwards to 150 athletic and music programs annually. The stadium was built in 1961 and has not been significantly updated in more than 50 years, showing its age and need for renovation.
Thomas Porter Architects has been involved with numerous upgrades to Maumee High School’s Kazmaier Stadium, but the Panther Pride Foundation has made recent strides to vastly transform the site to serve as an “open door” to the Maumee community. Upgrades to the facility include provisions for ADA restrooms, team locker rooms, concrete bleacher repairs, new ticket booths, various site improvements including an arched entryway and paved surfaces, a new Panther Pride Den (a school spirit store), and a new Alumni/ Alumnae center with great views to the new turf playing field.
The projects were completed in multiple phases as fundraising and budgets allowed over a period of several years.
